The main enterprises located within the county include: - The Factory of Transport Equipment Federal Mogul Gorzyce - producer of pistons, pivots, wheel rims and light metal castings.
- The Metal Works "DEZAMET" SA in Nowa Deba producing mainly for defence industry.
- Sp. z. o.o. "UNIDEZ" Nowa Deba - production of heating appliance elements.
- The Works of Energy Factors SA in Nowa Deba - production of thermal energy and mineral water.
- The Net Curtain Factory "WISAN" SA in Skopanie - producer of net curtains and decorative fabrics.
- The Enterprise of Mining Grounds Reclamation and other firms formed out of the gone into liquidation Sulphur Mines and Processing Works "Siarkopol" producing, e.g. mixed fertilizers, bleaching earth, polystyrene foam, cryolite.
A few thousand small and medium-sized firms function in the domains of food processing, trade, transport, wood industry, production of Christmas tree decorations, etc. Within the county, at Tarnobrzeg and in Nowa Deba, there are grounds of the Tarnobrzeg Enterprise Zone. The Zone is managed by the Agency of Industry Development in Warsaw via its Branch in Tarnobrzeg based in Tarnobrzeg at 48 Zakladowa St., tel./fax (015) 823 66 88, 822 99 99. Several firms have launched activity in the Zone so far. The medicine factory "Sanfarm" Sp. z o.o., built from the beginning by Polfa Warsaw, is one ofthe most important investments within the subzone in Nowa Deba. |
